Exploring strength and ductility responses of beam-column joints using UHPC and UHPFRC employing concrete damaged plasticity

Guilherme Santos da Silveira, Carlos Natã Zenatti, Gustavo de Miranda Saleme Gidrão, Rúbia Mara Bosse, Paulo Rogério Novak

Structures subjected to severe loads, such as earthquakes, often develop cracks at the beam-column joints, underscoring the significance of these regions in design. This study focuses on a comparative analysis of beam-column joints…

Numerical simulation of crack propagation behavior of a semi-cylindrical specimen under dynamic loading

Ghorban Khandouzi, Mohsen Mollashahi, Mojtaba Moosakhani

To design and evaluate the analytical crack propagation of a specimen under dynamic load, measurement of dynamic fracture parameters is necessary. However, analytical methods have significant complexity, and experimental methods are also…

Behavior assessment of asymmetrical building with concrete damage plasticity (CDP) under seismic load

Patrick Oliveira Batista da Costa, Rúbia Mara Bosse, Gustavo de Miranda Saleme Gidrão

According to the research conducted, the asymmetric multi-storey buildings are complex and suffer from severe damage caused by increased torsional response. This paper addresses the behavior assessment of setback building with irregularity…
