An experimental study on the rehabilitation performance of CFRP-strengthened bubble deck slabs: effects of void size and preloading levels

Abdulkhalik Abdulridha, Muntadher Bader

This study examines the rehabilitation performance of reinforced concrete bubble deck slabs (with 50 mm and 60 mm voids) strengthened with externally bonded CFRP sheets. Nine specimens were tested: eight bubble slabs (grouped by void size…

Studying the fracture surface of brass CuZn37 and aluminum 1100 and their relationship with formability in Single Point Incremental Forming

Marwa K. Qate'a, Muhsin J. Jweeg, Adnan I. Mohammed

Single Point Incremental Forming was conducted on Aluminum1100 and Brass CuZn37 to form a hyperbolic truncated pyramid with varying wall angles until the fracture occurs. The formability of the specimens in terms of fracture depth and…

Micro void coalescence of ductile fracture in mild steel during tensile straining

P. K. Pradhan, P. S. Robi, Sankar K. Roy

The ductile fracture occurs mainly in three stages i.e. void nucleation, void growth and the voidcoalescence. The present work focuses on the study the coalescence of existing micro void in a ductile material, mild steel. The specimen with…
