In the current European standards for design of timber structures, the issue of timber-to-timber joint type is addressed only to squared timber, which makes the pinpointing of the round timber bolted joints load carrying capacity…
To seismic design of timber beam, effect of near-fault ground motion on timber beam has numerically been investigated, with refer to small displacement theory. The simulated near-fault ground motion is applied on the fixed base of timber…
This paper presents a refined Finite Element (FE) modeling strategy for analyzing the failure behavior of regular masonry structures reinforced with timber-based retrofit solutions. The proposed model schematizes the masonry as brick…
To reduce the depth of floor-beam structures and to save the cost of headed-shear studs, many types of shallow composite beam have been developed during the last few years. Among them, the shallow-hollow steel beam consists of web…
Timber-concrete composite beams, known as TCC beams, have been widely used in rehabilitation or in new buildings where several types of connections are commonly inserted to ensure partial composite action between the timber joist and the…
The morphology of subsoil influences to soil-structure interaction and it makes complex to predict seismic structural stability. The structural elements seismic response associate to soil-structure interaction is required expansive…
