In the maintenance work of cable configurations, which have limitations such as cables in cable-stayed bridges, suspenders in suspension bridges, and hangers in arch bridges, tension on the cables is required. The safety of the cable is…
Damage in RC structures causes the degradation of stiffness and frequency parameters. In this study, the relationship between the two coefficients and damage severities is numerically investigated considering a three-dimensional (3D)…
This paper investigated the static and dynamic behaviors of isotropic cracked simply supported beam using finite element analysis (FEA), ANSYS software. Modal and harmonic vibration analysis of intact and damaged beam were performed in…
The importance of delamination detection can be understood from aircraft components like Vertical Stabilizer, which is subjected to heavy vibration during the flight movement and it may lead to delamination and finally even flight crash…
This study investigates the free vibration behavior of 3D-printed PA6 layered plates by considering the effects of stacking sequence, infill ratio, and boundary conditions. Unlike previous works, this research provides a comprehensive…
The use of Areca sheath in developing a newer composite material is proposed in this article. The Areca sheath particulates are extracted by pulverizing long sheaths into different sizes of particulates and are reinforced into the epoxy to…
In this paper, an approach is proposed that allows for the selecting of the parameters of the shunt circuit that provide multimodal damping of vibrations for the corresponding piezoelectric element location. This technique is based on a…
Dynamic loading on composite components may induce damages such as cracks, delaminations, etc. and development of an early damage detection technique for delaminations is one of the most important aspects in ensuring the integrity and…
The purpose of this work is to study three different models of delamination in composite plate (the free mode model, the constrained model and the contact model) and applicability of this models to the vibrational method of damage…
