PMMA has important micro structural heterogeneities such as cavities, and its elastic behavior is greatly affected by the presence of defects that may imply its weakening and cause failure. In areas of high concentrations of stress and due…
The mechanical clinching process can be used for the load-bearing structures of thin-walled steel frame halls. Numerical simulation of crack propagation in a clinching joint using finite element method (FEM) software is an important tool…
The present article aims to summarize the research study that was conducted the efficiency of methods and techniques designed for the detection and localization of faults in civil engineering structures, particularly in bridge structures.…
Problems involving errors and uncertainties from the use of numerical and experimental responses of beams using optimization processes have been studied by many researchers. In this field, to simulate the real behavior of structures…
The paper focuses on the experimental and theoretical study of plastic deformation instability and localization in materials subjected to dynamic loading and high-velocity perforation. We investigate the behavior of samples dynamically…
The wide use of cold-formed sections (CFS) in the field of steel constructions, favored by the multiple advantages they offer (lightness, ease of installation, etc.), has led us to reflect on a new process for manufacture of metal beams…
In this paper, gradual demand for curved, stiffened panels composite emerged from carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP); these are structures that are frequently used in aerospace engineering. Up to 50% of the primary structure of the…
Research in the field of property analysis of 3D printed structural elements raises many new questions. A major challenge is to understand the behavior of the material, as the raw material and the resulting printed sample cannot be…
The study explores the feasibility of a new all-steel buckling restrained brace (BRB) with the double pre-tensioning system as an alternative to conventional concentrically braced frames by using finite element method (ABAQUS program), And…
