The current study focuses on the influence of varying levels of boron-carbide (B4C) particles on mechanical and tribological characteristics of Al7075 hybrid composites that are strengthened by fixed percentages of graphite (Gr) and…
Aluminum alloys are widely used in the automobile industry because of their excellent mechanical strength, low weight, and remarkable resistance to corrosion and wear. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the microstructure…
The impact of n-B4C on the mechanical and tribological behavior of Al7075 particle reinforced composites were assessed by analyzing samples of the resultant nano-composites for micro-structure, hardness, tensile strength, and wear behavior…
Aluminum composites exhibit high resistance to wear and corrosion, possess high strength, offer durability and more such properties. In this study, Al7075, reinforced with nano size SiC - Gr was produced by a stir casting technique and its…
The demand for materials with an unusual combination of properties has increased tremendously at a level that cannot be attained through the use of conventional materials. This is especially true for materials used in aircraft, automotive…
Aluminum composites with varied weight percentages of 0-2.5 B4C particles and micro- and nanoparticle sizes were fabricated by stir-casting. The material's mechanical and wear characteristics were evaluated. We used dry pin-on-disc wear…
The demanding material quality criteria in the automotive and aerospace industries have recently had an impact on the development of lightweight aluminium alloys. The choice and application of metal-matrix composites as structural…
Having Low density and being Light weight with better mechanical properties, aluminum is the most significant material and is universally used in highly critical applications like navy, aerospace and particularly automotive activities.…
The effects of SiC-Al2O3 particle in the Al alloy on the mechanical and wear characteristics of stir-casted Composites have been reported. The Al7075 is reinforced with 2, 4, 6 and 8 wt. % of (SiC + Al2O3) to manufacture the hybrid…
This study explores how ageing temperature and the volume percentage of Al2O3+B4C nanoparticles influence the machinability and hardness of stir-cast Al-7075 Metal Matrix Composite (MMC). Using liquid metallurgy techniques, hybrid…
Development in material science impose to use different materials in production. This causes a problem for joining different materials because traditional joining techniques such as welding could not overcome this problem in industries…
The Al2O3-SiC reinforced Al7075 Metal Matrix Composite (MMCs) is fabricated through liquid metallurgical technique. Ceramic particulates were amalgamated into aluminium alloy to achieve improved mechanical properties and wear resistance.…
