Repair and rehabilitation of corroded HDPE100 pipe using a new hybrid composite

Abdelmalek Regad, Djebara Benzerga, Habib Berrekia, Abdelkader Haddi, Nourredine Chekhar

The good management of drinking water begins with a supply network, with a low rate of leakage. Currently, the pipes used in the water transport system are mainly made of polymeric materials, such as HDPE. The corrosion degradation of this…

Critical length parameter of HDPE and its use in fatigue lifetime predictions

Kamila Kozáková, Lukáš Trávníček, Jan Poduška, Jan Klusák

The contribution describes the fatigue lifetime predictions of polyethylene notched specimens based on the theory of critical distance. The approach uses the line method, which averages the axial stress over the critical distance. The…

Residual life prediction of defected Polypropylene Random copolymer pipes (PPR)

Abderazzak Ouardi, Fatima Majid, Nadia Mouhib, Mohamed Elghorba

The polypropylene random copolymer (PPR) is a thermoplastic material generally used for the transport of water under pressure, especially hot water. PPR pipes are exposed to severe conditions in terms of pressure and temperature, hence the…
