An analytical study of longitudinal fracture in two-dimensional functionally graded cantilever beam configurations is carried-out with taking into account the non-linear behavior of material. A longitudinal crack is located arbitrary along…
This paper investigates the variations of mode I stress intensity factor (KI) for inner penny-shaped and circumferential cracks in functionally graded solid and hollow thick walled cylinders, respectively with the changes of crack…
This paper is focused on delamination fracture analyses of a multilayered functionally graded circular shaft under two loading combinations (centric tension and torsion, and bending and torsion) assuming non-linear elastic mechanical…
Presently, Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) are extensively utilised in several industrial sectors, and the modelling of their mechanical behaviour is consistently advancing. Most studies investigate the impact of layers on the…
In this work, an experimental and numerical program was designed to evaluate the role of compressive strength, Fc, and area of reinforcing steel, As, on the flexural behavior of functionally graded reinforced concrete beams. Eighteen…
In this scientific work, a new shear deformation theory for free vibration analysis of simply supported rectangular functionally graded plate embedded in an elastic medium is presented. Due to technical problems during the fabrication…
In the present work, the fracture toughness (KIC) of full-depth (FD) fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC) and layered functionally graded concrete (FGC) matrix cracked (MC) beams has been determined by the equivalent relationships of the…
The objective of this work is to analyze the behavior beams functionally graded, simply supported, under different conditions such as bending, buckling, and vibration and this by use shear deformation theories a two-dimensional (2D) and…
In this study, a novel quasi-three dimensional hyperbolic high-order shear deformation theory (quasi-3D HHSDT) is developed for free vibration analysis of porous functionally graded plates (FGPs). There are six unknowns in the current…
In this article, the analytical solutions for static of bending analysis of functionally graded sandwich plates using four-variable high order shear-deformation theory is presented. During manufacture of these plates, defects such as…
Given the field of application and the many advantages, the use of FGM (Functionally Graded Materials) materials has recently been extended in several components and more particularly in cylindrical structures, which have been the subject…
In this article, an analytical study was done to predict the behavior of the beam vis-à-vis bending, buckling, and dynamic responses of isotropic homogeneous beams based on an elastic foundation. The material properties of the FG-beams…
The investigation of multiple crack interactions in fracture mechanics is important to predict the safety and reliability of structures. This paper introduces a numerical investigation used to calculate the J-integral of the main crack…
