Study on B4C Particulates Size on Mechanical Behavior, Fractured Surface and Optimization of the Wear Parameters of the Al7075 Composites by Statistical Approach

M. Ravikumar

Aluminum composites with varied weight percentages of 0-2.5 B₄C particles and micro- and nanoparticle sizes were fabricated by stir-casting. The material's mechanical and wear characteristics were evaluated. We used dry pin-on-disc wear…

The Epoxy-based composites with Size-Fractionated Waste Areca Sheath: An Experimental Investigation on the Macroscopic and Vibrational Properties

Lijo Varghese, G.C. Mohan Kumar

The use of Areca sheath in developing a newer composite material is proposed in this article. The Areca sheath particulates are extracted by pulverizing long sheaths into different sizes of particulates and are reinforced into the epoxy to…

Fractographic characterization of Al2O3p particulates reinforced Al2014 alloy composites subjected to tensile loading

V. Bharath, V. Auradi, Madeva Nagaral

In the current investigation, efforts are being made to produce an Al2014-Al₂O_3p composite with variable particle size of 88 mm by liquid stir casting route. 9, 12 and 15 weight proportions of Al₂O_3pwere added to the Al2014 base alloy. By…
