Cracking direction in multiaxial low cycle fatigue is an important research subject because crack initiation and propagation behavior is a physical background for developing an estimation method of multiaxial low cycle fatigue lives.…
Slow strain rate stress corrosion test of X80 steel in the natural seawater are carried out to study to effect of dissolved oxygen on the sensitivity of stress corrosion. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) combined electrochemical…
This article deals with the locally multiaxial fatigue behaviour of high strength steel. To this end, the influence of the cracking path deflections (at the micro level) on the plasticity-induced fatigue crack growth is analyzed. With…
Cement and concrete composites are inherently brittle and exhibit very less tensile/flexural strength capacity as compared to their compressive strength. Use of thoroughly dispersed carbon nanotubes in the concrete matrix is one of the…
A detailed investigation was conducted into the fracture mechanisms of cylindrical specimens made of a polycrystalline heat-resistant nickel-based alloy XH73MBTU-VD (EI698-VD), under uniaxial tension in the temperature range of 25–700°C.…
