This paper deals with the influence of the cold drawing process on the fracture behaviour of pearlitic steels. To this end, fracture tests under axial loading were performed on steel wires with different drawing degree (from a hot rolled…
The ultimate goal in hot roll pass design is to manufacture a rolled product with the required dimensional accuracy, defect free surface, and mechanical properties. The proper selection of process parameters is crucial to meet increasing…
Hot rolling normalization technology for producing sheets from a low-carbon steel, Steel S355J2, used in the Bulgarian Metallurgical Plant “STOMANA Industry SA” is under investigation. A newly introduced automatic application optimization…
Considerable efforts have been made over the last decades to improve performance of spring steels, which would increase the service time of springs and also allow vehicles weight reduction. There are different possibilities of improving…
Medium grain size has been uneven over the length of hot-rolled strips of austenite of low-carbon steel during rolling on continuous mill. Assess the possibilities of metal microstructure of hot-rolled strip stabilization system…
The modern ideas about of quality of products are based on the principle of the absolute satisfaction of requirements of recommendations of the buyer. A presence of surface defects of steel-smelting and rolling origin is peculiar to the…
