Sensitivity analysis of the GTN damage parameters at different temperature for dynamic fracture propagation in X70 pipeline steel using neural network

Abdelmoumin Ouladbrahim, Idir Belaidi, Samir Khatir, Erica Magagnini, Roberto Capozucca, Magd Abdel Wahab

In this paper, the initial and maximum load was studied using the Finite Element Modeling (FEM) analysis during impact testing (CVN) of pipeline X70 steel. The Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman (GTN) constitutive model has been used to simulate…

Coupled identification of the hardening behavior laws and Gurson–Tvergaard–Needleman damage parameters - Validation on tear test of 12NiCr6 CT specimen

Mohamed Hadj Miloud, Ibrahim Zidane, Mohammed Mendas

This work is devoted to the application of the micromechanical Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman (GTN) model to study the ductile tearing of 12NiCr6 steel. GTN model is widely used to describe the three stages of ductile tearing: nucleation…

A consistent use of the Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman damage model for the R-curve calculation

Gabriele Cricrì

The scope of the present work is to point out a consistent simulation procedure for the quasi-static fracture processes, starting from the micro-structural characteristics of the material. To this aim, a local nineparameters…

Modelling of crack propagation in miniaturized and normal SENB specimens based on local failure criterion

Bernadett Spisak, Zoltán Bézi, Réka Erdei, Szabolcs Szávai

The use of miniaturized specimen testing methods is a promising way to solve the problem of limited materials in RPV monitoring programs. The use of miniature specimens allows the evaluation of fracture toughness from other specimen…

Predictive Modeling of Fracture Behavior in Ti6Al4V Alloys Manufactured by SLM Process

Mohsen Sarparast, Majid Shafaie, Mohammad Davoodi, Ahmad Memaran Babakan, Hongyan Zhang

This study focuses on ductile fracture behavior prediction for Ti6Al4V alloys fabricated via Selective Laser Melting (SLM). A modified Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman (GTN) model characterizes void growth and shear mechanisms under uniaxial…
