The benefits of resins nano-enhanced on the impact response of sandwich composites made by fiber glass/epoxy skins and balsa wood core were studied. Afterwards, the influence of the core's discontinuity was analyzed in terms of impact…
This study investigates the modification of epoxy resins with pyrolysis bio-oils derived from plant waste, aiming to enhance mechanical performance. A method for epoxy resin modification using bio-oil is proposed, including techniques for…
Epoxy with carbon nanofibers (CNFs) are effective nano enhanced materials that can be prepared by easy and low-cost method. The present paper compares the improvements, in terms of flexural and viscoelastic properties, of two epoxy resins…
The composite materials are normally made of reinforcements and resins. High-performance composites are generally termed hybrid composite materials. Generally, fiber-reinforced composite laminates are very weak in their out-of-plane…
In this paper, tensile tests of specimens with a pattern of holes made of fiber-glass plastic based on combined epoxy and phenol-formaldehyde resins are carried out in order to study the processes of damage accumulation and tension…
