Long-term development of mechanical properties of concrete with different water to cement ratio and internal curing ability

Vlastimil Bílek, Michal Pesata, Katerina Matyskova, Petr Miarka

Concretes with water to cement (or binder) ratios of 0.50. 0.40, 0.30 and 0.20 were prepared and long-term mechanical properties were measured. Porous light-weight aggregates (LWA) in dosages of 10 % and 20 % were used for self-curing…

Multi-parameter analysis of curing cycle for GNPs/glass fabric/ epoxy laminated nanocomposites

Georgios Seretis, Aikaterini Polyzou, Dimitrios Manolakos, Christopher Provatidis

In this study, a multi-parameter analysis, using Taguchi method for design of experiments, has been conducted to investigate the optimum curing conditions for GNPs/E-glass fabric/epoxy laminated nanocomposites. The independent variables in…

Influence of biochar additions on the fracture behavior of foamed concrete

Devid Falliano, Dario De Domenico, Antonino Sciarrone, Giuseppe Ricciardi, Luciana Restuccia, Giuseppe Ferro, Jean-Marc Tulliani, Ernesto Gugliandolo

The present study concerns the experimental investigation of foamed concretes with 1600 kg/m³ density that incorporate biochar additions in the mix. A series of small notched beams are prepared to determine the fracture energy in CMOD…

Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Epoxy Based Adhesive Failure on Mono- and Bi-Material Single Lap Joints Under Different Displacement Rates

Hojjat Ghahramanzadeh Asl, Salim Çam, Osman Orhan, Adnan Özel

Development in material science impose to use different materials in production. This causes a problem for joining different materials because traditional joining techniques such as welding could not overcome this problem in industries…
